One of my personal interests includes horses and horseback riding. I started riding when I was 8 years old and loved it. As I got older, I had to work in the barn cleaning stalls, feeding, and exercising the horses to earn the privilege of riding. This taught me the value of hard work and a good work ethic. All the work with the horses taught me patience, understanding, and perseverance. Now I would like to incorporate my love for horses with my passion of working with children with ASD. In the future, we hope to host a horse camp during the summer, offer riding lessons, and integrate horses into the therapy we offer.
